True, he wasn’t working the job now, but it was obvious that the world outside of all the demons and holy works was filled with opportunities for someone like himself. Well, at least he thought so. The World Religion Museum was a place of wondrous sights and old boring objects that most people have no actual knowledge of, and overlooked constantly as if wasn’t even important to them. To Alder, from what he observed most of the time, these people just stared at the objects, they looked so cool, but were they learning anything? Yes, they learned that a mummy’s sarcophagus was about as gruesome looking as any other crypt, aside from the beautiful Egyptian décor. But did they understand its history enough, the facts that surround each of these objects? The small plaques gave some, but it wasn’t enough in his eyes. [/style]It never was… However, when Alder entered the facility, some things definitely changed. Clad in one of his black suits, a florescent green tie with a beautiful floral design etched its way up the stem and cuddle roses at the stem. He came here for business at first; he was thinking that maybe he could ask some of the museum members for leads on any old treasures that reminded him of his own Crissagrim. But it came with nothing but a bit of silence, and then him gloomily waltzing about the museum for some kind of interesting show in the retrospect of old historical devices. When he had entered the Shinto themed district of the museum interior, he found himself staring at a beautiful battle-garb, worn by one of the legendary female warriors, Tomoe; whose existence was skeptical and legendary in the same words. As he sat there, an older woman, most lively in her forties approached him, and asked what he knew about this particular piece. What he knew? Oh, she asked the right question at just the right time. “Ah, my dear lady, let me first say that what you are looking at right now is one of the historical remnants of a woman who; to many mythologist and Shinto researchers, was the first recorded female warrior of ancient feudal Japan. The garb is said to belong to the warrior, Tomoe Gozen; a female samurai who was said to be one of the greatest warriors of Japan. As some might know, women were restricted from combat for a long time in Old Nihon, and in many situations most and maybe all information on female warriors in Japan had been lost- that or never recorded. Sadly, it makes the references and ideals of what to believe about many of these female idols impossible to rely upon; that and prove if they truly existed. I personally believe they were as true as rain, and Tomoe, considered a warrior who could make up for thousands of others was a person of great character and impressive combative talent…” he kept talking, because you know, he’s Alder, he just can’t shut up once he starts. But his words, which flowed out his head like an endless stream of information, drew heads, and now a crowd of people surrounded the young man. Everyone seriously started to think that he worked there and as he walked through the museum, expressing all he knew on each individual piece that came by him, the Makeshift Tourist Guide was born into the world. He did this for almost two hours, finally coming to the last area, where the Catholic Renaissance pieces were on display. He had talked so much that his jaw was stiff and his head was stressed with tension, but he just couldn’t stop. There was much to talk about, “Ah, and here you have the more gruesome side of the original concepts of the Catholic Inquisitions.” He made a rather disgusted face as he stared at some of the devices, “As you can see, many of these devices were used for Protestant interrogation. At the time, Catholics and their extensive power over Europe and many other parts of the world, had been shaken by the growth of Christianity and many other religious groups. It’s actually quite wrong to think that the Catholics were tormenting one religion, oh no, it was many…” By the end of all that, which wasn’t even finished considering he had to explain how every single one of these devices worked, Alder was actually rather exhausted. “All right, I need a break for a moment.” he said, his eyes showing his weariness as he sat against a railing, a brass-bull ominously looming behind him. The group spread out a little, and they comingled with one another on the events that happened. Alder himself was wishing he had nice glass of water right now. His throat was parched, and his lips were peeling. But it was fun~ To say the least. | [atrb=style, padding:10px; width:115px; background-color: #E6E6E6;][atrb=valign,top] [style=background-color: #F1F1F1; background-attachment: scrolling; height:100px; width:100px; padding:10px; border: 1px dashed #CCCCCC;][/style] [style= border-bottom: 1px dashed #CCCCCC; text-transform: lowercase;]WORDS[/style][style= text-align:right; background-color: #F1F1F1; padding-right:2px;]828[/style] [style= border-bottom: 1px dashed #CCCCCC; text-transform: lowercase;]TAGGED[/style][style= text-align:right; background-color: #F1F1F1; padding-right:2px;]museum, tour[/style] [style= border-bottom: 1px dashed #CCCCCC; text-transform: lowercase;]CREDIT[/style][style= text-align:right; background-color: #F1F1F1; padding-right:2px;]VENICE of OTE[/style] |
