They are the ones that try to harm him and his own, but the possibility of people spiting him because of his loud mouth isn’t too farfetched. I think I should have made a rivalry section, I really want a demon to constantly clash with. Maybe a KING for sure, though HOEN could never take him one on one. I do hold hopes to bond with one, sort of like Batman and the Joker, I’ve been increasingly fascinated with that paring for a while. Or if anyone wants to take up the mantle as one of his brothers, or both it would be fun—maybe someone kill his parents? alkdjlakjsd this is when i curse my msn and its inability to archive my damn conversations.

okay, so i can honestly admit i remember maybe like five percent of what i told you on msn. so let's start with the things i do remember! first, the best friends thing. i doubt the two would've gotten along to begin with, just because they're so similar and asshole-ish. well, rowan's a more extreme asshole, but he's also reclusive and would not talk to hoen first unless he had to. like... if the other tripped and landed on him or something. or if rowan tripped and landed on hoen. whatever. initially, i imagine they were absolutely nasty toward each other, then warmed up to one another. you know, after rowan managed to convince hoen that he was, in fact, older and just because he's so much shorter doesn't mean he can assume he's younger. jeez.

i also seem to remember saying rowan was even more of an introvert in school, when the effects of his time in foster care were kind of obvious on him. like, you know, trust issues and the problems with forming connections. i think hoen would have been one of his main ~~only~~ friends, although i can't quite remember why he bothered sticking through rowan's insults, threats, and numerous amounts of thrown objects (his wind and fire wheels among them). i know hoen is the one person rowan trusts completely,although he'd certainly never outright say it. it's probably pretty obvious, though, considering i'm sure rowan's broken down mentally once or twice and gone to hoen about it. although they will never mention that. ever. i'm also pretty sure that, when rowan starts having his occasional issues with his eidetic memory, he'd be snappy at hoen, but they'd have the type of relationship where the other would understand and then tell him to get the hell over it.

so the saving rowan's life thing. i totally agree; they're probably paired together for missions extremely often just because they're both so reckless and need to watch each others backs because they kinda suck at watching their own. i know you say classic, but every time i try picturing a scenario in my head i end up with rowan kidnapped while he's spacing out in a library by a demon who enjoys old movies far too much so it ties him up and pretty much plays 'find the exorcist' with his demon-buddies. and while rowan is fuming because he may be talented with his hands, but even he can't untie it, so in rushes hoen at the same time as a bunch of demons and it's all tense and rowan's being snarky (from the floor. he would) and hoen manages to get the last one with his last bullet and there's some awkward semi-emotional reunion that's kind of ruined by the fact that hoen would tease rowan endlessly.

but that may just be my imagination running wild xD

as for their current relationship, i imagine it's the really close best friends, the type that, when too far from their own apartment, crash at the others while mooching food and trading snide comments. they probably train together a lot... i'm seeing the whole 'inseparable when rowan isn't busy training marathon runners' type of situation. i dunno. i think i'm just ranting by this point >.>
