considering that rowan spends every second of his meager amount of free time at the library instead of out socializing with people, he's bound to know jules. on the bright side, rowan would be one of those people who turned in every single book on time, likely in the same trip he got it in. on the other hand, he's a bit of a snarky, suspicious asshole, so he's likely not going to like jules. at all. i mean, polite and refined aren't something he believes people act like naturally xD jules is no exception; he's going to suspect him of lying, although it'll frustrate him to no ends that he has no proof.

may i use this moment to bring up that rowan is absolutely horrific when it comes to things like class? i mean... if it were up to him, he'd go out every day in a baggy jacket and sweats. they're comfortable and convenient. so the fact that jules has a little bit of class may earn him just a bit of respect from rowan. a bit. not that he'd ever admit it, but it'd be enough for him to tolerate the others presence. after all, he'd hate having to stop going to the library just because an idiot ran it.
